Develop Out‑of‑Process Extensibility in Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service Learning Cohort

Join a 6‑week, hands‑on developer cohort to build out‑of‑process extensibility on Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service (ACCS). Learn to create an EDS storefront from the Commerce boilerplate, customize drop‑in components and commerce blocks, build App Builder actions, compose APIs with API Mesh, implement event‑driven integrations using I/O Events and webhooks, extend Commerce Admin with Admin UI SDK, and apply CI/CD, observability, and security practices—culminating in an end‑to‑end capstone.

Enrollment Details:

Sign in to view dates and enroll in a scheduled cohort. If you are a Premium Learning Subscriber enrolling into a cohort for the first time, you will go through a one-time account verfication; when prompted, enter your email, and add your company subscription code on the additional info page. Once your subscription is verified, you can return to finish your enrollment.
After enrolling, you will receive an enrollment confirmation email and calendar invites for all live sessions in the cohort. If the invites do not appear in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder and mark the emails as safe.

In the meantime, find your enrollment in My Cohorts. During the week before your cohort begins, you'll be prompted via a welcome email to return to My Cohorts to start accessing your cohort activities and pre-work requirements.

After completing this cohort, you will be able to:

Explain Adobe Commerce as Cloud Service architecture and EDS foundations through storefront setup and DA.live authoring
Extend storefront functionality by customizing drop-in components and building commerce blocks
Implement out-of-process extensibility using App Builder, Commerce APIs, and API Mesh
Apply event‑driven architecture by configuring Adobe I/O Events, webhooks, and an event consumer.
Extend Commerce Admin by building custom Admin UI SDK pages integrated with App Builder.
Deliver a production‑ready, end‑to‑end solution with CI/CD, observability, and security.

Week 1: Exploring the Commerce Stack: Foundations and Platform Architecture
Week 2: Shaping the Storefront: Drop-in Components, and Custom Commerce Blocks
Week 3: Powering Extensibility: App Builder, Commerce APIs, and API Mesh
Week 4: Designing with Events: Events, Webhooks, and Event-Driven Architecture
Week 5: Extending the Admin: Admin UI SDK and Integration Patterns
Week 6: Transitioning from Build to Run: Capstone and Operational Readiness

Cohort program: 6 weeks

This cohort is designed as an integrated experience, and each component plays a critical role in your completion progress:

Live sessions are a core part of the cohort, and attendance is expected twice a week.
Engage in real-time learning with Adobe experts and your peers. The two interactive sessions each week are designed to help you connect, ask questions, and apply what you're learning.
Time commitment: 2 - 4 hours a week.
Capstone Project & Peer Review are required for completion credit. Demonstrate mastery through a guided capstone project. Apply your learning to a real-world challenge, then exchange feedback with your peers in structured review sessions. Learners must complete the capstone project to receive cohort completion credit.
Time commitment: 0.5 - 1 hours a week.

Self-Paced Modules & Quizzes are essential to prepare for live sessions and to successfully complete the project.
Learn flexibly, at your own pace, between live sessions. Access asynchronous modules, hands-on labs, and discussion activities to deepen your understanding and apply key concepts in real-world scenarios.
Time commitment: 0.5 - 3 hours a week.

Primary audience: Existing Adobe Commerce developers transitioning from PaaS or on-prem to ACCS and out-of-process extensibility.

Secondary audience: Developers new to ACCS who have prior web or backend development experience and are adopting SaaS-first commerce architectures.
